Example Project (Classified groups with titles)
Above is an example of how the classifications can look. You may write out the groups as is, you may cut and paste them. You can even get creative and add pictures or images that represent each of your words (be sure to include the word too!). You could also type them and use them in a smaller format. In addition to the groups, descriptions are needed. On separate paper, list the title of the group and the descriptive paragraph below. Be sure to do this correctly the first time so that you don't have to re-do it later. Example paragraphs are below.
Ms. Keister
Revisiting Numbers Culminating Activity
Due: November 13, 2012
Electronics
Here, you will explain how each of these items go together. I chose to put watching TV, playing on the computer, listening to music, and playing on my iPod together all in one group because you need an electronic machine to be able to do these activities. Even if they don't all have to be plugged in when you are using them, you'll need to plug them in at some point to charge them. You can use some of them inside, outside, or on the go, but they all fit together because they are the technology of today and the electronics we use.
Sports
Each of these activities is a sport that requires physical activity. Some of them can be played as a team, and some of them are done as individuals. They all require hand and eye coordination, and physical strength. They can be practiced a lot, or played just for fun. There are games and competitions that keep score and determine who is a winner. Each of these activities were grouped together because they are a sport.
