Field Trips, Field Day and Game Days...oh my!!!
Read below about some of the awesome things 8A did last year, and are planning for this year, too!!
Field Trips
Last year, team 8A went on a field trip to Philadelphia in the fall and Washington DC in the spring! The trips were full of students exploring the monuments, memorials and museums with their friends. Everyone had a great time while exploring the history of our nation's original and current capitols. This year, we have even more field trips in the works!!
Game Days
As a reward for students who were up to date with all of their work, at the end of each month, those students would get to participate in Game Day. Game day is an entire afternoon spent with your friends, playing board games, watching movies, or playing in the gym. Students that have missing assignments were given that time as an opportunity to make up their work. Be sure to complete everything on time so you don't miss out on the fun!
Pi Day
A math class is not complete without a Pi Day celebration! Be ready to celebrate all things circular on March 14 (3.14). And, yes, of course you will also be eating pie!
Field Day
Did you hear an announcement about this in 6th grade and wonder what it was all about? Well every student was a tribute, and each station related to the book. Everyone's competitive nature was prevalent, and it was a great day of fun for both the Orange and Black teams!! This was my favorite event of the year, you have a lot to look forward to!
**Last year we unfortunately had to cancel it due to a lack of interest, and all of us teachers, as well as many of the students, were really disappointed. We're really hoping that this year we'll be able to have it again!
